MGO Rod Contains 99% Magnesium Oxide is a highly active magnesium oxide made from milled brucite material through a carefully monitored indirect calcination process (magnesium hydroxide).It serves as a thickening agent in the creation of SMC/BMC composites with glass reinforcement.Unsaturated polyester or polyacrylic resin, mineral fillers (chalk, flame-retardants), low profile agents, colors, and a thickening agent are some of the ingredients that make up the SMC/BMC composition (chain extender). The thickening ingredient increases the composite's viscosity and facilitates cross-linking. For this application, magnesium oxide should have a consistent particle size distribution and a high specific surface area.The right thickening agent choice is crucial for creating a high-quality composite free of fractures, undulations, and moulding faults.
