1400 degrees high temperature ceramic laboratory box type resistance furnace

As the constant temperature phase began, researchers activated the mechanical properties testing system. An automated probe slowly extended into the furnace, performing nanoscale indentation tests on the specimens. Data was transmitted to a computer in real time, and a graph immediately displayed the astonishing hardness retention of this ultra-high-temperature ceramic. Simultaneously, an infrared thermal imager monitored the temperature distribution on the specimen surface, ensuring thermal uniformity within a precise range of ±5 degrees.

The following is an introduction to the 1400°C high-temperature ceramic laboratory box-type resistance furnace:

Structural Design

Furnace Chamber: Typically constructed from imported lightweight, high-purity alumina ceramic or 1600-type polycrystalline alumina fiber, these materials offer high hardness, high-temperature resistance, zero volatilization during high-temperature sintering, and resistance to thermal shock and corrosion.

Heating Elements: Typically, high-quality silicon carbon rods are used, offering high load resistance, stability, and long service life. They are evenly arranged on the left, right, front, and rear sides of the furnace chamber to ensure a more uniform heating temperature.

Insulation Materials: Highly insulating ceramic fiberboard and ceramic fiber felt are often used, effectively reducing heat loss and improving thermal efficiency. Furnace Door: Thickened and reinforced to prevent deformation, it typically features a power-off function when the door is opened to ensure operator safety.

Exterior: Crafted from high-quality cold-rolled steel, processed using CNC machines, the exterior is treated with a high-temperature paint finish or a two-color imported epoxy powder electrostatic spraying process, resulting in a durable, corrosion-resistant, and high-temperature resistant design.

Performance

High Temperature Control Precision: Equipped with an intelligent temperature control system, such as PID regulation and PLC control, the temperature control accuracy reaches ±1°C, and multiple preset heating, hold, and cool-down programs are supported to meet the needs of complex experimental processes.

Excellent Temperature Uniformity: Through the strategic placement of heating elements and the thermal insulation properties of ceramic fiber, the furnace achieves a temperature uniformity of ±5°C (empty furnace test).

Fast Heating Rate: Thanks to the use of a ceramic fiber lining with low heat capacity, the furnace typically heats up to 1400°C in ≤2 hours, significantly faster than traditional resistance furnaces.

Reliable Safety: Equipped with multiple safety mechanisms, including over-temperature alarm, disconnect protection, furnace door interlock, overload protection, and leakage protection. Some units also feature an air cooling system to prevent overheating of the furnace casing.

Control System

Temperature Control Instrument: A 50-segment intelligent programmable controller is typically used, with optional computer control for centralized equipment control, real-time temperature curve monitoring, and data export.

Power Supply Control: Heating power is controlled by a thyristor (SCR) or solid-state relay (SSR), enabling precise adjustment of the heating rate.

Application Areas

Ceramic Material Research: Suitable for sintering and densification of alumina ceramics and silicon carbide ceramics, helping to improve the performance and quality of ceramic materials.

Metal Material Processing: Suitable for annealing and quenching high-speed steel and die steel, as well as high-temperature sintering of rare earth permanent magnet materials, improving the microstructure and performance of metal materials.

Nanomaterial Preparation: Suitable for high-temperature calcination of oxide powders and preparation of catalyst carriers, providing a high-temperature environment for nanomaterial research and production.

Scientific research experiments: They play an important role in high-temperature physical and chemical experiments, such as phase change research, thermogravimetric analysis, and high-temperature aging testing of electronic components.
