6 usage steps of armored thermal resistance

Armored thermistor is a temperature sensor that measures temperature by utilizing the characteristic that the resistance of a substance changes with temperature. When the resistance changes, the working instrument will display the temperature value corresponding to the resistance value. It has a smaller diameter than prefabricated platinum resistors, is easy to bend, and is suitable for installation in narrow pipelines and special occasions that require quick response and miniaturization. It can automatically detect gases, liquid media, and solid surfaces within the temperature range of -200~600 ℃, and can be directly connected to secondary instruments using copper wires. Due to its excellent electrical output characteristics, it can provide accurate input values for displays, recorders, regulators, scanners, data recorders, and computers.
1. The armored thermal resistance temperature sensing element is wrapped with specially treated resistance wire and tightly attached to the end face of the thermometer. Compared with general axial thermal resistance, it can more accurately and quickly reflect the actual temperature of the measured end face, and is suitable for measuring the end face temperature of bearings and other components.
2. Most armored thermoelectric resistors have sensitive elements with a length of about 120mm. When selecting the insertion depth of the thermoelectric resistor, it should be considered that the thermoelectric resistor can only measure the uniformity of the measured medium within the range of the sensitive element.
When wiring armored thermal resistors, first open the junction box and then connect the wires. There are usually two types of wiring methods: two wire system and three wire system. The advantage of the three wire system connection is that it can prevent the display error of the instrument caused by the resistance value of the connecting wire of the bimetallic thermometer.
4. The connecting wire between the thermal resistance and the display instrument should be insulated copper wire, and the compensating wire of the thermocouple should not be used. The resistance value of copper wire should be selected according to the data displayed in the technical specifications of the instrument. It is usually 2-50, and the resistance value of the wire can be adjusted using a DC balance bridge.
5. It is not possible to use one thermistor in parallel with two display instruments. Only a dual branch thermistor can be used together with two display instruments.
6. Explosion proof thermal resistance: Explosion proof thermal resistance uses a special junction box to limit the explosion of explosive mixed gases inside its casing caused by sparks or arcs within the junction box, and will not cause excessive explosions on the production site. Explosion proof thermoelectric resistors can be used for road repairs. It is necessary to change the length of the resistance wire, which affects the resistance value. Therefore, it is better to replace the resistor body with a new one. If welding repair is used, it must be verified and qualified after welding before use.
