A Brief Discussion on the Function of the Stirring Blade in a Flash Dryer
Leave a message
Working Principle:
Hot air enters tangentially at the bottom of the dryer, forming a powerful rotating airflow driven by the agitator. Pasty material enters the dryer through a screw feeder. Under the intense action of the high-speed rotating agitator, the material is dispersed by impact, friction, and shearing forces. Lumpy materials are rapidly pulverized, ensuring full contact with the hot air for heating and drying. The dehydrated material rises with the hot airflow. A classifying ring traps large particles, while small particles are discharged from the center of the ring and recovered by a cyclone separator and dust collector. Incompletely dried or large pieces are thrown against the dryer wall by centrifugal force and fall back to the bottom to be pulverized and dried again.
Performance Characteristics:
◎ An organic combination of cyclone, fluidization, jetting, and pulverization/classification technologies.
◎ Compact equipment, small size, high production efficiency, continuous production, achieving "small equipment, large production."
◎ High drying intensity, low energy consumption, and high thermal efficiency.
◎ Short material residence time, good product quality, suitable for drying heat-sensitive materials.
◎Negative or slightly negative pressure operation, excellent sealing, high efficiency, and elimination of environmental pollution.
The function of the stirring blades:
As mentioned in the flash drying working principle, the stirring blades create a powerful rotating airflow. Pasty or lumpy materials enter the dryer through the screw feeder. Under the intense action of the high-speed rotating stirring blades, the materials are rapidly dispersed due to impact, friction, and shearing forces. Lumpy materials are quickly broken up, forming a fluidized state, and fully contacting, heating, and drying the hot air. The stirring blade speed is controllable and can be adjusted according to different material characteristics, or customized to suit different material properties.
