Advantages and disadvantages of electrically heated belt dryers

Product Introduction:

This machine is a continuous flow drying equipment used for drying sheet-like, strip-like, and granular materials with good air permeability. It is particularly suitable for materials with high moisture content, such as dehydrated vegetables and traditional Chinese medicine slices, where high temperatures are not permitted. This series of dryers features fast drying speed, high evaporation intensity, and good product quality. For dehydrated filter cake-like paste materials, granulation or rod-shaped drying is also possible.

Working Principle:

The material is evenly spread onto a mesh belt by a feeder. The mesh belt is generally made of 12-60 mesh stainless steel wire and is driven by a transmission device to move within the dryer. The dryer consists of several units, each with independent hot air circulation. Some exhaust gas is discharged by a dedicated exhaust fan, and the exhaust gas is controlled by a regulating valve. Hot air passes from bottom to top or top to bottom (different designs are available for special materials) through the multiple layers of mesh belt covering the material, completing the heat and mass transfer process and removing moisture from the material. The mesh belt moves slowly, and the operating speed can be freely adjusted according to the material temperature. The dried finished product continuously falls into the collector. The number of circulation units can be flexibly configured according to user needs or material characteristics.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Electric Heating:

Advantages: Lower heating power, lower equipment cost, compact equipment structure, and accurate temperature control;

Disadvantages: Higher heating power, higher operating costs, and higher investment in the control system.
