1. What are the parts of TP-LINK solar power supply system?
A: It mainly includes three parts; Solar module (photovoltaic panel), smart battery, integrated support&smart controller.
2. How many photovoltaic panels, batteries and loads can the solar power supply system connect?
A: The integrated modular solar intelligent controller TL-K234 has two photovoltaic panel interfaces, three battery interfaces, and three load interfaces. It can connect up to two photovoltaic panels, three batteries, and supply power to three loads. The integrated solar product SP series is fixed, and the controller has three external load interfaces;
3. Can our solar system be used with third-party accessories?
A: Third-party accessories are not supported. We need to use our solar panels, controllers and batteries.
4. What is the output voltage range of the intelligent controller? Does it change with the change of the battery charge?
A: The controller has a built-in DC-DC circuit for voltage stabilization, and the output voltage is stable 12V, which does not change with the change of battery power.
5. Does the controller consume power and how much power?
Answer: The controller also consumes power, with an average power of about 0.3W.
6. How to install the solar power supply system?
A: It is recommended to read the article "TP-LINK Intelligent Solar Power Supply System comes into market as a whole, forged with precision quality, one installation, lasting benefits!", with the installation video attached.
7. Can it be used normally in cold areas in the north?
Answer: Smart batteries support intelligent auxiliary heating technology, which can be charged at - 20 ℃ in extremely low temperature environment and discharged at - 30 ℃.
8. What does the controller indicator status represent?
A: Each indicator represents the following status:
9. How to select the appropriate specification of solar power supply system, and how long can the electric equipment last?
A: Through the solar power selection tool, the appropriate power supply specifications can be generated according to the type, model, installation area and other factors of the electrical equipment. Refer to the Solar Power Supply System/Component Selection Method.
10. How to remotely check the working status of the solar power supply system?
A: The controller is equipped with a RJ45 network interface. After connecting 4G IPC/router or bridge through the network cable, use the TP-LINK security APP to scan the controller label QR code binding, and view the system working status, power generation, power consumption, battery power and other data on the APP.
11. The status of the solar system on the APP is displayed as "low temperature over-temperature protection", and the power is displayed as "--"?
A: There may be the following reasons: 1. Battery temperature<0 ℃; 2. The battery is not connected; 3. The NTC (temperature sensitive resistor) line at the battery end or controller end is broken. Try to replace the battery or controller.
12. How to access the WEB interface of the controller, and what is the default IP address?
A: The default IP of the controller is 192.168.1.230, which is automatically acquired by DHCP by default. If there is a manual modification or acquisition of a new IP, the TP-LINK security system (V2.12.5.207 and above) can be used to scan, connect the computer and the controller to the same LAN, configure the computer with the same network segment IP, and enter the controller IP in the browser address bar to enter the controller WEB interface.
13. How does the APP battery power display when multiple batteries with different power levels are connected?
A: When multiple batteries are connected, the controller only displays the highest battery power, giving priority to charging low battery and discharging high battery. Multiple batteries shall be charged and discharged together after the charge is consistent.
14. Can the controller supply power to the load if it is only connected to the photovoltaic panel and not connected to the battery?
A: There are three situations:
1. If the battery is started and being charged, and the load is being powered, then the controller can continue to power the load by unplugging the battery;
2. If the battery is connected and charging, but the load is not powered, then the battery is unplugged and the load is connected, and the controller will not power the load;
3. If the battery is not connected but the photovoltaic panel is connected at the beginning, the controller will not supply power to the load.
15. How to identify the positive and negative poles of the battery tail wire?
A: The gap of the battery tail line is upward, and the three holes are in inverted triangle shape. The left hole is "+", and the right hole is "-".
16. After the battery is connected, the BAT indicator of the controller does not light up?
A: There may be the following reasons:
1. Deep over-discharge of battery: use a multimeter to test the battery voltage. If the battery voltage is greater than 9, it is normal.
2. Try to replace the battery to see if it can be recovered;
3. Try the controller interface or replace the controller to see if it can be recovered.
17. Can't the controller supply power to the load?
A: There may be the following reasons:
1. Confirm that the power supply voltage of the equipment shall not exceed 12V, for example, it is impossible to supply power to 24V power receiving equipment; 2. Check whether the battery indicator on the controller lights up normally and whether the plugs are firmly inserted;
3. Check the battery power information from the APP or WEB, wait for the battery to charge for a period of time to see whether it is restored, and replace the high battery to see whether the power supply is restored;
4. Controller damage: replace the controller to see if it can be recovered.
18. Why is the battery charging slow?
A: There may be the following reasons:
1. Poor lighting or too large load power: check the lighting conditions and installation angle of photovoltaic panels on the site, and check the charging power and load power consumption of photovoltaic panels through APP or WEB;
2. The low-temperature auxiliary heating function is enabled: confirm the local air temperature conditions, and the auxiliary heating will be enabled below zero, which will reduce the charging efficiency.
19. Installation inclination requirements?
In addition to the direct regional climate factors, the installation angle of TP-LINK solar modules can be adjusted at any of the four installation angles of 20 °, 30 °, 45 ° and 55 °. Different angles can be selected according to the region to give full play to the solar efficiency and adapt to more environments. The recommended best installation angles of major cities in China are listed below.
