K-type thermocouple is a temperature sensor. It is usually used in conjunction with display instruments, recording instruments and electronic regulators. K-type thermocouples can directly measure the surface temperature of liquid vapor and gas media and solids in the range of 0℃ to 1300℃ in various production processes. K-type thermocouples are usually composed of temperature sensing elements, mounting fixtures and junction boxes.
K-type thermocouple temperature measurement must consist of three parts: thermocouple, connecting wire and display instrument. If the hot end of the thermocouple is heated so that the temperature of the cold and hot ends is different, a thermoelectric potential will be generated in the thermocouple circuit. This physical phenomenon is called thermoelectric phenomenon (i.e. thermoelectric effect). The potential generated in the thermocouple circuit consists of two parts: temperature difference potential and phase contact potential. Contact potential: It is a thermoelectric potential generated when two conductors with different electron densities come into contact with each other.
