Basic knowledge of heat transfer process

1、 Classification
Thermal transfer is divided into Yihe thermal transfer (suitable for a large number of printing methods) and digital thermal transfer [2] (suitable for a small number of products with their own characteristics). The difference between the two is:
Heat transfer production process:
Step 1. Make high-resolution pictures;
The second step is to make a dot type intaglio electroblock according to the size of the picture;
The third step is to install the gravure plate on the printing machine and print it on the PET film, which is then printed into the thermal transfer pattern film. It can print thousands of meters of finished product patterns in an hour.
Step 4. Install the heat transfer pattern film on the heat transfer hot stamping machine for printing. The operation is simple, and the pattern is formed at one time, without chromaticity.
A heat transfer hot stamping machine can print tens of thousands of products in 8 working hours a day.
It can be applied to ABS, PE, PP, EVA, leather, stainless steel, glass, wood and coated metal.
Digital thermal transfer production process:
Step 1. Make high-resolution pictures;
Step 2. Print the pattern on the heat transfer paper through the heat transfer printer, hundreds of meters an hour;
Step 3. The pattern can be printed on the commodity with ordinary machinery such as hot stamping machine. The operation is simple, and the pattern can be formed at one time, without chromaticity;
A machine can print thousands of goods in 8 working hours a day. It can be applied to ABS, PP, leather and ceramic coated cups
2、 How to choose
Why do you choose heat transfer printing for large quantities? How about digital heat transfer printing if the quantity is small? Because thermal transfer printing needs to make electric engraving, while digital thermal transfer printing does not need to make electric engraving. In contrast, the cost of heat transfer printing is relatively high, but why do people still choose heat transfer printing when the number is large? In addition to quality problems, the most important one is productivity. Thermal transfer can print thousands of products per hour, but digital thermal transfer can only print about 100 products per hour. So people will choose digital heat transfer printing if they just make some commemorative gifts, but they will choose heat transfer printing if they need to print for production.
