Whether high-temperature heating cables can be used underwater depends on the specific situation. Prolonged immersion in water can cause the cable's outer sheath to age rapidly. Damage to the outer sheath can directly affect the proper functioning of the internal heating element. This type of heating cable is sheathed in PVC plastic. High-temperature heating cables with stainless steel sheaths are not susceptible to this issue. Available in single-core and dual-core versions, these cables are heat-resistant to temperatures of 600°C-800°C. However, both ends must be properly sealed to prevent water intrusion.
