Common problems and maintenance methods of domestic electric water heater

1. The domestic electric water heater does not produce water or hot water
Many people have encountered the situation that the electric water heater does not produce water or hot water when using the electric water heater. At this time, we should first check whether the water inlet valve of the electric water heater is open, then check whether the electric water heater is connected to the power supply, and finally check whether the cold and hot water adjustment of the mixing valve is correct. If the water heater becomes cold after being used for a period of time, it may be that the heating device or temperature controller has failed and needs professional maintenance.
2. Outlet water temperature of electric water heater
When using the electric water heater, if the temperature is found to be low, first check whether the set temperature is very low. It is better to set the temperature at about 75 ℃. If the temperature is still very low, there may be a common fault in the temperature controller or heating pipe, and the maintenance personnel shall be required to repair it.
3. Electric water heater dripping
Water dripping or leakage of the electric water heater is also a kind of daily failure. It is mainly because the tank pressure of the electric water heater is too high when it is in use, resulting in water dripping from the safety valve. If this is the case, you can adjust the water mixing valve to the highest position of hot water, let the hot water discharge from the faucet, and reduce the internal pressure to prevent the safety valve from dripping. There are other reasons, such as too high inlet pressure and too high temperature setting, which will also cause the internal pressure of the electric water heater to rise and cause the pressure relief valve to drip. The solution is to adjust the water inlet pressure (pressure reducing valve can be installed) and properly lower the set temperature of the electric water heater.
Finally, check whether the pressure relief valve is broken. If it is, replace it with a new one in time.
4. Water inlet or outlet of electric water heater is difficult
After many water heaters have been used for a long time, it is difficult to water in or out. This is generally because the hot water outlet will be blocked by scale after long-term use. Therefore, we need to clean the water inlet pipe and outlet pipe to clean the scale in the pipeline. When cleaning the scale and filter screen, first turn off the power supply, discharge the steam from the pipeline, and then check the water valve. It is better to also check the water mixing valve. In case of failure, repair or replace it in time.
