Water temperature controllers, as commonly used temperature control equipment in industrial production, play a crucial role in ensuring product quality and improving production efficiency. Proper maintenance of water temperature controllers can not only extend their service life but also reduce the failure rate, saving costs for enterprises. I. Preparation and Inspection Before Use

Before using the water temperature controller for the first time, carefully check whether the cooling water volume is sufficient and whether the circulation system is operating normally. At the same time, be sure to keep the surrounding environment clean to reduce dust and other impurities entering the equipment and reduce the frequency of cleaning. Also, pay attention to the heat transfer medium used. If it is water, ensure the water source is clean; this effectively prevents scaling and pipe blockage. For example, using filtered pure water as the heat exchange medium can greatly reduce the damage of impurities to the equipment.


II. Precautions During Daily Use

Check the water pump: Regularly check the water pump of the water temperature controller for leaks. As the core component of the water circulation system, leaks in the water pump will not only affect the normal operation of the equipment but may also cause damage to other components. If necessary, replace the pump shaft seal periodically to ensure the pump operates in good condition.

Pay attention to wiring and piping: Check the power cord of the water temperature controller daily for damage or signs of aging, and check for leaks in the piping. Replace any problematic power cords or piping immediately to prevent safety accidents or affecting equipment performance.

Water level and quality management: Always monitor the water level in the tank to ensure it remains within the normal range. If the water level is too low, add clean water promptly; if the water level is too high, drain the water appropriately. Ensure good water quality and avoid using water with excessive iron, manganese, or calcium ions to prevent scale buildup inside the equipment.

III. Regular maintenance items

Cleaning filter valves and piping: Regularly cleaning filter valves is an essential maintenance step; it is recommended to clean them at least once a month. In addition, the filter screen cover at the system inlet should also be cleaned monthly to ensure the water entering the equipment is clean and free of impurities. Piping also needs regular cleaning to prevent impurities and scale buildup, which can affect water circulation and the equipment's temperature control performance.

Heating Element Inspection: The heating element should be inspected every three months. If scale is found on the surface of the heating element, it should be scraped off with a special tool to ensure normal heating efficiency and prevent damage caused by scale affecting heat transfer.

Maintenance and Replacement of Key Components: Solenoid valves should be cleaned monthly to ensure normal operation. Teflon faucets and connectors should be replaced annually, as should the electromagnetic contactor. Terminal screws should be tightened every three months. Timely maintenance and replacement of these key components can effectively ensure the stable operation of the water temperature controller.

IV. Maintenance Measures During Shutdown

When the water temperature controller needs to be shut down, first disconnect the connecting water pipes for cooling water and hot water inlet and outlet, open the corresponding ball valves, and then use an air gun to blow air into the hot water (outlet) inlet to allow residual media in the system to be discharged from the cooling water inlet. Stop operation after confirming that there is no water in the pipes. This prevents residual water in the pipes from freezing or breeding bacteria during shutdown, which could damage the equipment. In summary, maintaining a water temperature controller requires a multi-faceted approach, including pre-use preparation, daily operation monitoring, regular maintenance, and proper handling during shutdowns.
