It is a component designed to maintain equal spacing between 3 or 5 expansion beads and prevent roller detachment. The expansion bead groove has a certain feed angle, and rotating the tool expansion rod to the right will automatically feed and expand the tube.

Note: The tube expander with a bearing seat will reduce the thrust during tube expansion, prevent damage to the tube end and tube plate, and adjust the effective depth of the expansion beads.

The four types of pipe expanders, including straight tube, flanging, deep hole, and bearing type, must first retract the expansion shell to the small end of the expansion rod, then extend the pipe expander into the pipe, and then push the expansion rod forward, so that the expansion rod, expansion ball, and inner wall of the pipe are tightly attached to each other. Then, use a ratchet wrench or pipe expander to drive the expansion rod to rotate clockwise, and the expansion rod will automatically move forward. The expansion ball will rotate in the opposite direction and roll against the inner wall of the pipe, forcing the metal on the pipe wall to extend and increase the pipe diameter until the expansion joint requirements are met. When exiting, simply rotate the expansion rod counterclockwise, and the expansion rod will automatically exit. After loosening, it can be removed from the pipe.


By adjusting the screw sleeve, the expansion rate is controlled. Turning the screw sleeve inward increases the expansion rate, while turning the screw sleeve outward reduces the expansion rate. Therefore, before expansion, the screw sleeve must be turned out without falling off. Then, according to the usage methods of the various expansion devices mentioned above, the expansion rate is tested to determine that the expansion rate meets the specified requirements. After fixing the position of the screw sleeve with a set screw, formal expansion can be carried out.
