Do you know what infrared thermal drying is? What are the advantages compared to natural air drying?

According to different work modes, it can be divided into the following types:
1. Cross flow dryer
Advantages: Simple manufacturing process, convenient installation, low cost, and high productivity. Disadvantages: Poor uniformity of grain drying and high unit heat consumption.
2. Mixed flow dryer
The advantages are: ⑴ uniform hot air supply, and relatively uniform moisture content of the dried grain; ⑵ 5%~15% lower unit heat consumption; The disadvantages are: ⑴ complex structure, slightly higher manufacturing costs under the same productivity conditions; ⑵ A small portion of the grains at the four corners of the dryer experience slow precipitation.
3. Downstream dryer
The advantages are: ⑴ The use of hot air has a high temperature, and the temperature of the first level high temperature section can generally reach 150-250 ℃; ⑵ Low unit heat consumption can ensure the quality of grain after drying; The disadvantages are: ⑴ the structure is relatively complex, and the manufacturing cost is close to or slightly higher than that of a mixed flow dryer; ⑵ The thickness of the grain layer is large, and the required high-pressure fan power is high, resulting in high prices.
4. Forward and backward flow, mixed and backward flow, and forward and backward flow dryers
Advantages: Enable natural cold air to fully contact grains, increase cooling speed, and appropriately reduce the height of the cooling section; Disadvantage: Does not increase unit heat consumption, ensuring uniform grain quality and moisture content.
Advantages of drying machines:
Due to the different harvest seasons of various crops and the temperature differences during drying in the north and south, it is necessary to consider the drying effect and operating costs. For example, in coastal areas, it is best to avoid drying grains in low temperature and humid weather, otherwise the dehydration effect will be poor, the productivity will be low, and the drying cost will be high. Nearly half of the time in the northern region is spent drying below 0 ℃. The lower the external temperature, the higher the unit heat consumption required and the higher the cost. Therefore, insulation layers should be added to the outer walls and hot air pipelines of dryers operating below 0 ℃ in the north to reduce heat loss.
