Explosion-proof safety device of hydrogen furnace and its optional configuration design

The hydrogen furnace features a fully sealed outer shell, silicone mortar seals for the cover, and silicone gaskets for the furnace door. It also has a water cooling system. Gas flows in and out of the breech after passing through a flowmeter. Multiple inlets and outlets for cleaning the furnace chamber are located, and burners are located at the furnace outlet. The furnace can be pre-evacuated and can handle hydrogen, argon, nitrogen, oxygen, carbon monoxide, and ammonia decomposition gas. The furnace offers advantages such as a balanced temperature field, low surface temperature, fast ramp rates, and energy efficiency. It is a key product for universities, research institutes, and industrial and mining enterprises for atmosphere-protected sintering and atmosphere reduction.

Hydrogen Furnace Explosion-Proof System
The explosion-proof system consists of a solenoid valve, a microcomputer, a pressure display and transmitter, a 24V power supply, and an AC contactor. The pressure within the furnace is converted into an electrical signal by the pressure display and transmitter and transmitted to the microcomputer. The microcomputer compares the pressure with the set value and generates a signal to control the AC contactor, which in turn switches the solenoid valve on and off. When the pressure inside the furnace is higher than the set allowable pressure, the solenoid valve opens immediately, playing an explosion-proof role. We have installed an outlet pipe on the solenoid valve, and the user can connect the pipe to discharge the gas to the outside. The explosion-proof valve is a one-way valve that can only exhaust but not flow back, effectively ensuring the safety of the furnace.

This hydrogen furnace explosion-proof system has many advantages:

(1) Reusability: When the pressure is higher than the set value, the solenoid valve opens, and when the pressure is lower than the set value, the solenoid valve closes. Unlike mechanical explosion-proof devices, it cannot be used after exploding once.

(2) Adjustable set value: The user can adjust the opening pressure of the solenoid valve through the microcomputer according to the needs.

(3) The explosion-proof point is very sensitive: Because it uses a microcomputer and electrical signals, the explosion will occur immediately when the pressure reaches the explosion-proof point.

(4) The explosion-proof system is safe: no fragments will fly out during the explosion. (If a mechanical type is used, glass pieces may fly out)

(5) The explosion-proof system has good stability: Since it uses a microcomputer and solenoid valve, it will definitely explode at our set point, and the user can test it. Unlike the mechanical type, it cannot be tested, and there is a lot of uncertainty as to whether it will open at the explosion-proof point.

Optional design of hydrogen furnace

(Optional) Gas supply system: The furnace can be equipped with 2 or 3 float flow meters, which can control the flow rate of the gas. There is a stainless steel valve at each air inlet. You can choose one or more of them to adjust the gas. After passing through the flow meter, the gas enters the mixing tank and then enters the furnace body in 3 ways. In this way, the gas can flow into the furnace body evenly.

(Optional) Vacuum system: The atmosphere box furnace can be pre-evacuated to accelerate the cleaning of the air in the furnace.

(Optional) Combustion Device: This furnace can be equipped with a hydrogen combustion controller, burner, ignition coil, and flame detector. These provide automatic furnace ignition. Once ignition is complete, the normal operation indicator lights up and flame detection begins. If the flame goes out during operation, the outlet solenoid valve automatically closes and an audible and visual alarm sounds.

(Optional) Hydrogen Detector: This furnace can be equipped with a hydrogen detector. When the hydrogen concentration around the furnace reaches the detector's alarm point, the detector automatically sounds.

(Optional) Water Cooling System: This furnace is equipped with a water chiller for automatic water cooling of the entrance.
