The annealing treatment of 800 alloy is generally between 982-1038°C, and the main purpose is to refine the grains. The heat treatment temperature of 800H and 800AT is generally carried out between 1121-1177°C. In addition to the purpose of softening the material, the other is to grow the grain of the material and improve the creep resistance and stress fracture performance. Inconel600 has excellent strength and easy processing characteristics. It is mainly used in corrosive environments. It has oxidation resistance in environments up to 1177 degrees, heat and corrosion resistant alloys, and has good resistance to intergranular corrosion, stress corrosion cracking and high temperature halogen corrosion. ; Anti-oxidation performance, hot and cold processing performance, low temperature mechanical performance, cold and hot fatigue performance. It has high strength at 650℃, good formability and easy welding. Mainly used in steam engine, water heater, nuclear power plant cooler; caustic soda and VCM production; pulp and paper industry.

Characteristics of Incoloy 800 alloy

 

(1) According to ASME standard, it has high design strength when applied at 899℃;
(2) The tube can be used at temperatures below 982℃;
(3) There is still oxidation resistance at 1038℃;
(4) Resistance to chloride ion corrosion.

The most typical application of 800 alloy is high temperature applications, such as incinerator components, petrochemical reformers, hydrocracking pipe fittings, superheated steam treatment equipment in conventional power plants and nuclear power plants. The high content of chromium and nickel makes the 800 series alloys have good resistance to oxidation and carbonization.

 Although 800 series alloy has no immunity to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking, its corrosion resistance is still very good. It has good corrosion resistance in petroleum, chemical, food, pulp and paper industries. Obviously, the 800 series alloy can be used in a moderately corrosive environment that causes stress corrosion fracture of ordinary austenitic stainless steel. However, the 800 series alloy has no immunity to the stress corrosion cracking of MgCl2 solution.
