The obvious characteristic of current EV/HEV power batteries when charged at low temperature is that the voltage rises rapidly. Charging at low temperature will bring many problems. For example, when charging at low temperature, the positive electrode lithium is quickly released and the negative electrode lithium is slowly inserted into the interior, which will cause the accumulation of lithium metal on the electrode surface, generate dendrites, and short-circuit the battery. At present, it is impossible to fundamentally solve the problem of low-temperature charging of batteries.

Solution to the heating system for charging power batteries in low-temperature environments:

Silicone and PI electric heating film system is a very thin pure resistive heater with a thickness of 0.3-1.5mm. It can be made in any size and shape, takes up very little space in structure, and can be designed arbitrarily with voltage and power. It can be easily pasted on the surface of the battery PACK and heated by conduction to the battery cell. It has high thermal efficiency, simple structure, low cost, high reliability, and a service life of more than 10 years. Because it is thin and has thermal conductivity, heat dissipation is not affected when it is not in working state.
