High quality non insulated temperature measuring wires for three precious metal platinum rhodium S-type thermocouple wires

Generally speaking, there are three types of platinum rhodium S-type thermocouple wires: B, S, and R. The applicable temperature range for R-type and S-type is 1398~1482 ° C (2550~2700 ° F); Type B is suitable for continuous use at temperatures up to 1704 ° C (3100 ° F). Timely and strictly controlled within the time frame, oxidation and corrosion are also inevitable. So in order to effectively prevent oxidation and corrosion under high temperature conditions, we provide high-quality non insulated temperature measurement wires that can be applied to three types of "precious metal" thermocouples:
, Type B: Platinum 6% rhodium (-) and Platinum 30% rhodium (+);
Secondly, S-type: platinum (-) and platinum 10% rhodium (+);
Thirdly, R-type: Platinum (-) and Platinum 13% Rhodium (+);
Platinum rhodium S-type thermocouple wires R and S are recommended for continuous use in oxidizing or inert atmospheres up to 1398 ° C (2550 ° F), or short-term exposure to high temperatures of 1482 ° C (2700 ° F). Type B is suitable for continuous use in oxidizing or inert atmospheres with temperatures up to 1704 ° C (3100 ° F). When working near high temperatures, it is recommended to use larger wire diameters.
All three types of thermocouples mentioned above can be used for short-term use in a vacuum environment. When applied in a vacuum environment, Type B provides excellent stability. All three models are not suitable for use in reducing gases or environments containing metal or non-metal vapors, unless non-metallic protective sleeves are used. Another thing to remember is: Do not directly insert the thermocouple into the metal protective sleeve.
