The flow simulation (bottom) also importantly shows the fiber direction within the part. In terms of mechanical properties, the correct fiber orientation is essential because the fibers have to withstand loads and stresses. In a successful SMC part, the design must allow the fibers to flow in the direction of the load-so the design must include the correct flow characteristics.
