Hot runner heater Working principle of hot runner heater

The working principle of the hot runner heater is achieved through the combination of a primary coil and a secondary coil. The primary coil has more turns and the secondary coil has fewer turns. The ratio of the input voltage to the output voltage is equal to the ratio of the coil turns. In this way, the secondary coil generates a large current at a lower voltage. For the induction heater, the bearing acts as a short-circuited single-turn secondary coil, generating a lot of heat through a large current. The heater and the yoke are kept at a low temperature, and the bearing is magnetized by electromagnetic induction. The FAG induction heater has an automatic demagnetization function to ensure that the bearing does not absorb metal magnetic chips after operation.

This heating method is based on the principle that metal generates eddy currents and absorbs heat in an alternating magnetic field, and is often used in metal heat treatment. Thicker metals will generate currents in a magnetic field, and the currents will form a spiral flow, causing the internal temperature of the metal to rise. As an energy-saving device, the hot runner heater pre- or post-heats the fuel oil to reduce viscosity and promote combustion, thereby saving energy. It is suitable for heating fuels such as heavy oil and asphalt, and attention should be paid to safe use, such as maintaining air humidity, effective grounding, and avoiding empty burning.

The heating element in the hot runner system is a key component, and its accuracy and life have a direct impact on the injection molding process. The electric heating tube needs to undergo special treatment, such as shrinking and high-temperature heat treatment to ensure its durability after bending. There are a wide variety of products, such as heating rods, heating coils, tubular heaters, etc., which can be used for manifold and hot runner heating. The hot runner heating rod is made of high-quality materials and processes, can operate stably in high-temperature environments, and meets the VDE0721 quality inspection standard.
