How long does the Kistler 6125A maintain its accuracy?

When used properly, the Kistler 6125A, a high-end, corrosion-resistant hot runner sensor, usually keeps its accuracy steady for 2.5 to 3.5 years. The processing conditions have a substantial impact on the accuracy retention time:
Weak corrosion, processing typical technical polymers like PC/PA, and traditional high-temperature settings (temperature ≤320°C): Outstanding accuracy retention performance, largely keeping it steady for three to five years. It can potentially survive up to four years with the right care. Zero-point drift may still be managed within 0.1%FS after three years of usage, satisfying the requirements for nominal accuracy.
Strong corrosion, high temperatures (between 320 and 380 degrees Celsius), and processing specific raw materials like PEEK and fluoroplastics: The stable accuracy retention duration is two to three years, which is still more than a year longer than typical non-corrosion-resistant sensors.
Prolonged overpressure use or incorrect installation will reduce the accuracy retention time by around one-third. The stable retention period can be extended by three to six months with appropriate maintenance.
