I. Hardware and Data Integration Preparation Before Installation
Interface Adapter Selection: Choose industrial communication gateways from manufacturers such as Phoenix Contact and Siemens that are compatible with the digital interface model of the Husky temperature controller, and perform Modbus/PROFINET protocol conversion.
Data Acquisition Point Configuration: Add dedicated RC parameter acquisition nodes to the MES system to gather four core data kinds in real time from the temperature controller, including RC capacitance, filter cutoff frequency, temperature fluctuation amplitude, and runtime.
Communication Link Verification: The electromagnetic isolation measures of temperature sensor line and power supply line are designed to avoid data corruption and packet loss, so that the connection success rate is stable at above 99.5%.
II. Setting Up Auto Trigger Rules in the MES System
Periodic Trigger Rules: Fix benchmark calibration cycles in MES system with diverse injection moulding processes. When expired, automatically create a work order for RC calibration and push to the maintenance staff mobile device.
Dynamic Drift Trigger Rule: When the MES system detects an RC capacitance deviation ≥5% from the reference value, or a temperature change ≥±1℃, it immediately starts an emergency calibration task and locks the production access of the related machine at the same time.
When the MES system accumulates event tags, such as new enhanced interference sources in the workshop or hot runner maintenance completion, it immediately starts an RC calibration operation to adjust to the changing on-site operating conditions.
III. Process of Closed Loop Task and Data Linkage
Automatic Task Dispatch When the calibration task is generated, the MES system automatically pushes the RC reference parameter file, calibration tool list and operation procedure guide of the related machine.
Automatic Calibration Result Verification When calibration is completed, the measured data is uploaded by the maintenance people to the MES system. The system automatically checks the calibration data to judge if it meets the standard and triggers a second calibration task if not.
Periodic Dynamic Self-Optimization: MES system automatically analyses the RC parameter drift trends of different machines based on past calibration data, and dynamically optimises the upcoming calibration cycles, further minimising unnecessary maintenance costs.
IV. Troubleshooting Common Interconnection Faults
When data corruption occurs, first examine the configuration of the baud rate and station number of the communication gateway, and refresh the register mapping relationship.
If the task triggering is delayed, please review the MES system task scheduling queue, clean up redundant previous expired tasks, and free system computing resources.
