How to carry out gas circulation in a tube furnace
When using a tube furnace, sometimes gas is needed for inflation, but many experimenters do not know how to correctly operate the inflation work of the tube furnace. Often, due to some details not being checked properly, the experimental work cannot be carried out normally. Therefore, experimenters need to first understand how the tube furnace is inflated with gas.
1. Close the working gas circuit and connect the gas outlet of the tube furnace to the vacuum pump.
2. Turn on the power of the vacuum pump, open the exhaust valve, evacuate the pipe body and gas pipeline.
3. When the vacuum gauge of the tube furnace reaches -0.1 (when the pointer reaches the end), close the intake valve. When the vacuum gauge of the tube furnace does not move and remains at -0.1 after being left standing for one hour, it indicates that the sealing of the tube furnace is good. Otherwise, the leakage point needs to be identified and corrected. Inert gas pressure can also be used to test the airtightness, and the pressure generally does not exceed 0.05Mpa.
4. Turn the knob to open the main valve of the gas cylinder, slowly open the outlet pressure reducing valve, and ensure that the outlet pressure is within a reasonable range. (The applicable range is indicated on the pressure gauge).
5. Slowly open the intake valve of the tube furnace; At the same time, pay attention to the pressure gauge of the tube furnace and confirm that the pressure is below 0.05MPa (if the pressure is higher than 0.05MPa, use the outlet valve of the tube furnace to release gas).
6. When the air pressure of the tube furnace is stable, close the inlet valve of the tube furnace, open the outlet valve, vacuum to -0.1, and close the outlet valve of the tube furnace.
7. After repeating the suction three times, close the inlet and outlet valves, and connect the outlet hole to the conical flask. 8. Open the intake valve of the tube furnace and open the air valve to allow the speed of bubbles appearing in the conical bottle to be 2 per second. The discharged gas should be discharged outdoors or inside the exhaust cabinet. Heat up again after ten minutes of ventilation.
