How to choose a suitable electric heating tube
How to choose a suitable heater, first consider the power size of the heater. Under the condition of meeting the time parameters, selecting power is to meet the required heat generation of the heating medium and is the preferred choice to ensure that the heater can achieve its heating purpose and operate normally.
Since the thermal efficiency of electric heating is approximately 1, it can be assumed that the power of the electric heater is the heat generated.
Including three major points:
1. Consideration of power selection
The calculation and selection of power should consider the following three factors:
⑴ From the initial state, achieve the heating medium to the set temperature (working temperature) according to the specified time requirements;
Under operating conditions, the heat generated is sufficient to maintain the medium temperature;
There should be a certain safety margin, generally set at 1.2.
Obviously, selecting the larger power from items ⑴ and ⑵, multiplied by the safety margin, is the power that should be selected.
2. Calculation of power required for heating from the initial state
(1) Static fluid heating
(2) Flow fluid heating
(3) Air duct heater for atmospheric air heating
Among the above three equations
P-meter - required power of electric heater (KW);
Q dispersion - heat dissipation of the container at the set temperature (KW);
In the formula:
C1- Specific heat of the heated medium. (Kcal/(kg · ℃)
C2- Specific heat of the container (system). (Kcal/(kg · ℃)
M1- Mass of the heated medium. (Kg);
M2- Mass of container (system) (Kg);
Δ T - The difference between the set temperature and the initial temperature. (℃);
T - The time required to heat the medium from the initial temperature to the set temperature. (h) ;
F - Heating medium flow rate (usually taken as the maximum flow rate). (m/min);
S - Heat dissipation area. (m2);
Q loss - the amount of heat loss per unit area of insulation material at a set temperature. (Kwh/m)
3. Calculation of power required to maintain medium temperature
In the formula:
P-dimensional - The power required for the electric heater to maintain the medium temperature. (KW)
M1 increase - the increase in media mass per hour. (Kg/h)
