How to Choose the Material of the Electric Heating Tube Shell

1. Stainless steel electric heating tube
There are many different grades of stainless steel materials for electric heating tubes, such as stainless steel 304, stainless steel 321, stainless steel 316L, stainless steel 310S, etc. When heating conventional non alkaline water and oil, stainless steel 304 is sufficient. For some acidic and alkaline liquids, stainless steel 316L is not suitable. However, from a temperature resistance perspective, stainless steel 304 is generally recommended for working at around 300 degrees Celsius, stainless steel 321 is recommended for working at around 500 degrees Celsius, and stainless steel 310S is recommended for higher temperatures. The above is purely personal experience and is not an accurate theoretical value, for reference only.
2. Titanium electric heating tube
Titanium electric heating tubes are generally suitable for processes such as chromium plating, copper acid plating, nickel plating, passivation, filling, oxidation tank, chromic acid anodizing, phosphating acid tin plating, etc., so the price of titanium electric heating tubes is also relatively high.
3. Teflon electric heating tube
Teflon electric heating tube, also known as Teflon electric heating tube or PTFE electric heating tube, commonly known as PTFE tube. Teflon electric heating pipes are generally suitable for corrosive liquids such as strong acids and alkalis. The general process temperature is ≤ 105 ℃. The advantages of Teflon electric heating pipes are non adhesion, non scaling, and uniform surface heat dissipation, but the price is also very high. Due to low temperature requirements, the surface load should not be too high in design. Therefore, Teflon electric heating pipes have low power and high cost, so they are rarely used.
4. Quartz electric heating tube
Quartz electric heating tubes are generally suitable for corrosion-resistant liquids, except for hydrofluoric acid. The disadvantage is that it is extremely fragile.
The selection of materials for electric heaters requires high temperature resistance to ensure that they are not damaged under high temperature conditions, allowing them to work in harsh environments. The advantages of electric heaters are very obvious, and they can be applied to equipment such as barbecue racks, ovens, bread barrels, cookware, electric heaters, and water pots, making them very good electric heating equipment.
