Daily maintenance of electric heating tubes is essential for their performance and life. Here are the correct ways to perform daily maintenance:
Regularly check the appearance: Check the surface of the electric heating tube frequently to see if there is dirt, oil stains, carbon deposits or metal oxides attached. If there is, choose the appropriate method according to the type of dirt to clean it in time. At the same time, check whether the heating tube is deformed, damaged, cracked, etc. If the surface of the heating tube is found to be obviously damaged, it should be replaced in time to prevent safety accidents such as leakage and short circuit.
Clean surface dirt: Different cleaning methods are used for different types of dirt. As mentioned above, scale can be removed with an acidic descaling agent, oil stains can be wiped with an organic solvent or a special oil cleaning agent, metal oxides can be treated by pickling or using a rust remover, and carbon deposits can be cleaned by mechanical methods such as gently scraping or using a special carbon deposit cleaning agent. When cleaning, be careful to avoid using too sharp tools to damage the surface of the heating tube.
Ensure tight connections: Check the terminals of the electric heating tube regularly to ensure that the wires are firmly connected and there are no signs of looseness, oxidation or burning. If the terminal is found to be loose, it should be tightened in time; if there is oxidation, the oxide needs to be cleaned and reconnected to prevent uneven heating or local overheating caused by poor contact, which will damage the heating tube.
Monitor heating performance: Pay attention to the heating speed and temperature uniformity of the electric heating tube. If the heating time is significantly extended, the temperature is uneven or the set temperature is not reached, it may be that the heating tube has a fault and the cause needs to be checked in time. Possible reasons include damage to the internal components of the heating tube, excessive surface dirt affecting heat dissipation, unstable power supply voltage, etc.
Control the working environment: Try to install the electric heating tube in a dry and well-ventilated environment, and avoid using it in humid, dusty or corrosive gas places. If it cannot be avoided, appropriate protective measures should be taken, such as installing a protective shell and regular anti-corrosion treatment. At the same time, according to the use requirements of the heating tube, control the working temperature and pressure to avoid over-temperature and over-pressure operation.
Perform insulation detection: Use an insulation resistance tester to regularly detect the insulation resistance of the electric heating tube to ensure that its insulation performance is good. Generally, the insulation resistance is required to be no less than the specified value, such as the insulation resistance should be greater than 10MΩ at room temperature. If the insulation resistance decreases, the insulation layer of the heating tube may be damaged, and the cause needs to be found and repaired or replaced in time.
Keep good operation records: record the operating time, operating temperature, heating effect and other parameters of the electric heating tube, as well as the time, content and problems found in each maintenance. By analyzing the operation records, the operating trends and potential problems of the heating tube can be discovered in time, providing a basis for early maintenance and replacement, and also helping to summarize experience and optimize maintenance measures.
