How to Determine if a Wi-Fi Module is High-Temperature Resistant

Following the earlier discussion on the necessity for hot-runner Wi-Fi modules to adapt to high temperature operating conditions, the high-temperature resistance of a Wi-Fi module can be accurately measured in three steps:

Check Official Specs: Refer to the datasheet of the module to determine if it has a wide operating temperature range suitable for hot-runner applications, typically -20℃ to 85℃, without any temperature restrictions.

Hardware appearance inspection: verify if the module employs a high-temperature resistant PCB substrate and metal shielded cover. This kind of hardware design is the base of high temperature resistance.

Power-On Testing Verification: Place the module in 85℃ constant temperature box and run it for 2 hours. The Wi-Fi signal is certified with no disconnection and no packet loss in data transmission.

Based on these checks, you may verify whether the module is acceptable for the high temperature conditions of hot-runner systems.
