How to determine the positive and negative poles of mold thermocouples

1. Mold thermocouple
Mold thermocouple is a commonly used device for measuring mold temperature and plays an important role in mold manufacturing and metal processing. It can convert the temperature of the mold into an electrical signal, and judge the temperature level through the change of current.
2. Concept of positive and negative poles
Positive and negative poles refer to the two polarities that need to be connected in the device, where the positive pole is the place where current flows in and the negative pole is the place where current flows out. In the mold thermocouple, the position of the positive and negative electrodes determines the direction of current flow and the accuracy of measurement results.
3. Method for determining positive and negative poles
To ensure the measurement accuracy of the mold thermocouple, it is necessary to correctly determine the position of the positive and negative electrodes. The following is a method to determine the positive and negative poles:
Firstly, connect the mold thermocouple to the measuring equipment.
Then, set the current of the measuring device to a smaller initial value.
Next, place the two lead out terminals of the thermocouple in contact with two different positions on the mold.
Observe the current changes in the measuring equipment.
If the current value increases, it indicates that the connected lead out terminals are correct.
If the current value drops, it indicates that the connected lead out terminal is incorrect.
Contact the prepared power cord with the two outgoing terminals of the thermocouple separately.
Turn on the power and observe the current changes in the measuring equipment.
Determine the position of the positive and negative poles based on the current changes in the measuring equipment.
If the current value increases, it indicates that the connected lead out terminals are correct.
If the current value drops, it indicates that the connected lead out terminal is incorrect.
4. Precautions
When judging the positive and negative poles, the following points should be noted:
The result of determining the positive and negative poles will affect the accuracy of subsequent measurements, so careful operation is necessary.
When connecting thermocouples, ensure that the two lead out terminals are relatively stable in position with the mold being touched.
Before determining the positive and negative poles, the current of the measuring equipment should be set to the initial value to avoid accidents caused by excessive current.
Method for determining the positive and negative pole positions of mold thermocouples
There are two methods to determine the positive and negative poles: one is to observe the current changes in the measuring equipment and determine the correctness of the connected lead out terminals; Another method is to observe the current changes in the measuring equipment and determine the correctness of the connected lead out terminals.
When making positive and negative pole judgments, attention should be paid to operational details to ensure measurement accuracy.
