How to distinguish whether the electric heating tube is dry-burning or burning in water

Electric heating tubes can be roughly divided into air dry heating and liquid heating. In the use of industrial equipment, air dry heating electric heating tubes are mostly divided into stainless steel heating tubes and finned electric heating tubes. Their common feature is that they use stainless steel materials, use resistance wire to generate heat, transfer heat to the air, and increase the temperature of the heated medium. Different heating media require different heating tubes. Different working environments also require different materials for heating tubes. Of course, in our lives, we also find heating tubes made of carbon steel, but they have been proven to have certain disadvantages through repeated tests. Carbon steel materials are not easy to rust in extremely dry conditions, otherwise they will be easily oxidized if not used for a period of time. Once the heating tube rusts, it cannot work normally. For metal heating tubes, stainless steel is still very popular in terms of use cost and operating efficiency.

There are still differences between air dry heating tubes and liquid heating tubes.

For liquid heating tubes, we need to know the liquid level and whether the liquid is corrosive. The liquid heating tube must be completely immersed in the liquid during use to avoid the phenomenon of dry burning of the electric heating tube. The surface temperature is too high, which may cause the heating tube to burst. If it is a normal softened water heating tube, we can use the normal stainless steel 304 material. The liquid is corrosive. According to the degree of corrosiveness, we can choose stainless steel heating tube 316 material, Teflon electric heating tube, titanium tube and other corrosion-resistant heating tubes; if it is to heat the oil card, we can use carbon steel material or stainless steel material. Carbon steel material has a lower cost and will not rust when used in heating oil. Regarding the power setting, it is generally recommended that customers do not exceed 4KW per meter when heating water and other media. It is best to control the power per meter at 2.5KW. When heating oil, it does not exceed 2KW per meter. If the surface load of the heating oil is too high, the oil temperature will be too high, which is prone to accidents. Be careful.

Air dry-burning electric heating tubes include stainless steel heating tubes for ovens, single-head heating tubes for mold hole heating, and finned heating tubes for heating air. They are designed in different shapes and powers according to customer requirements. The power of dry-burning tubes is usually set to no more than 1KW per meter, and can be increased to 1.5KW in the case of fan circulation. From the perspective of its life, it is best to have temperature control within an acceptable range of the tube, so that the tube will not be heated all the time and exceed the temperature that the tube can accept. No matter how good the quality of the stainless steel electric heating tube is, it will break.

In summary, although the surface load of air heating tubes is lower than that of liquid heating tubes, the production processes of air dry-burning heating tubes and liquid heating tubes are different. Therefore, dry-burning heating tubes cannot be blindly used to heat liquids.
