This article briefly analyzes the installation knowledge of thermocouple terminals. I hope it will be helpful for your study and work!
The installation of thermocouple terminals is the first step in using thermocouples. Correct installation can make the thermocouple work more efficient and more accurate, while installation errors may cause errors in thermocouple measurement or even damage to the thermocouple.
Therefore, the following requirements should be followed when installing thermocouples.
a. First, the size of the thermocouple and thermal resistor screw thread should be measured and the screw thread seat should be machined.
b. According to the diameter of the screw thread seat, a hole should be opened on the pipe to be measured.
c. Welding of the screw thread seat. Insert the screw thread seat into the hole that has been opened and weld the screw thread seat to the measured pipe.
d. Screw the thermocouple or thermal resistor into the welded screw thread seat.
e. Connect the wiring of the junction box of the thermocouple or thermal resistor according to the wiring diagram and connect it to the corresponding display instrument on the dial. Note that the junction box cannot contact the pipe wall of the measured medium pipeline, and ensure that the temperature in the junction box does not exceed the range of 0-100℃. The outlet hole of the junction box should be installed downward to prevent the terminal from short-circuiting due to poor sealing, water vapor, dust and other deposition.
f. The location of the thermocouple terminal should be considered for easy inspection and maintenance.
Following the above requirements, the thermocouple terminal can be correctly installed and work safely.
