How to repair a broken thermocouple wire

1. Basic knowledge of thermocouples
A thermocouple is a commonly used temperature measurement device consisting of two metal wires of different materials. When two metal wires are connected into a closed circuit, an electromotive force is generated in the circuit when the temperature of one of the metal wires changes. 4. Thermocouple wire breakage repair
Once the location of the broken wire is determined, the following methods can be used for repair:

If only the metal wires at both ends of the thermocouple are loose or not firmly connected, simply reconnect and ensure good contact.

If the metal wire of the thermocouple is found to be aged or damaged, it is necessary to replace the components. Usually, it is possible to purchase thermocouple wires of the same specifications for replacement.

If the wire breakage occurs in the middle of the metal wire, welding techniques can be used for repair. Pay attention to using appropriate welding materials and methods to ensure welding quality.

5. Maintenance precautions
When repairing thermocouples, it is necessary to disconnect the power supply and take appropriate protective measures to avoid electric shock or other safety accidents.

Choose high-quality thermocouple metal wires and welding materials to ensure the quality and reliability of maintenance.

After the repair is completed, use a multimeter or other temperature measuring equipment to test the thermocouple to ensure its normal operation.
