How to seal the insulating material of the stainless steel electric heating band?

The sealing treatment of the insulating material of the stainless steel electric heating coil is very important. The following are some common sealing treatment methods:
End sealing
Use sealant: At the end of the electric heating coil, evenly apply sealant to the connection between the insulating material and the stainless steel shell. The sealant should have good high temperature resistance and aging resistance, such as silicone sealant. Before applying, the surface must be cleaned to ensure that there are no impurities such as oil, dust, etc. to ensure good adhesion between the sealant and the surface. After applying, let the sealant cure naturally to form a sealing layer to prevent moisture, dust, etc. from entering.
Use end cap sealing: Install the end cap at the end of the electric heating coil, and use a sealing ring between the end cap and the shell for sealing. The sealing ring is usually made of rubber or silicone rubber, which has good elasticity and sealing performance. During installation, ensure that the sealing ring is installed in place without distortion or deformation, and the end cap is firmly fixed to achieve a reliable sealing effect.
Seal at the wiring point
Insulating sleeve sealing: For the wiring point of the electric heating coil, first pass the wire through the insulating sleeve, and then use sealant to seal the connection between the wiring end and the insulating sleeve. The insulating sleeve can be made of high-temperature resistant insulating materials such as ceramics and glass fiber, which can effectively prevent leakage at the wiring point, and the sealant can prevent external impurities from entering.
Junction box sealing: The wiring point is installed in a sealed junction box, and the junction box and the outer shell of the electric heating coil are sealed with a sealing pad or sealant. The wire entry hole on the junction box should be sealed with a rubber plug or a sealing rubber ring to ensure that the wire is well sealed when passing through. This can isolate the wiring point from the external environment and improve the insulation performance and safety.
Overall sealing
Impregnation treatment: The electric heating coil is placed in the insulating impregnation varnish for impregnation treatment so that the insulating material can fully absorb the impregnation varnish. After the impregnation varnish is heated and cured, a dense protective film will be formed on the surface of the insulating material, which will improve the sealing performance and moisture-proof, mildew-proof and corrosion-resistant capabilities of the insulating material. This method is suitable for small electric heating coils or occasions with high requirements for sealing performance.
Potting treatment: For some electric heating coils with special requirements, potting glue can be used for overall potting. The potting compound is usually a two-component epoxy resin or silicone rubber compound. After mixing them evenly, pour them into the outer shell of the electric heating coil to completely cover the insulating material and the heating element. After the potting compound is cured, it forms an integral sealing structure with good insulation and protection properties, which can effectively prevent the influence of external factors on the electric heating coil.
