How to use a silicon carbide rod heater correctly?

There are many aspects that need to be considered, and attention should also be paid to the correct use of silicon carbide rod heaters, such as the total power of the furnace, the voltage used, the connection method, the power of components, and so on.
To ensure that the silicon carbide rod heater is in a normal and ideal working state, the resistance value of the entire batch of silicon carbide rods should be measured and classified before installation, and an adjustment zone should be installed under the same resistance value to make the working resistance similar.
2. In order to check whether each silicon carbon rod heater is working properly, a clamp shaped ammeter can be used to measure the current one by one during the power test. The current requirements in the same area under the same voltage are similar, and the deviation should not exceed 10%. If the individual current is too large, the resistance value is too small, if the current is too small, the resistance is too high, or the pins are not properly contacted. If there is no current, the components may be damaged and should be inspected and replaced.
3. Silicone carbon rod heaters are fragile and easy to break, especially in areas with fragile threads. When installing, be careful not to apply unilateral force. If necessary, use heat-resistant steel pipes to gently push in the carbon rod, and then pull out the steel pipe sleeve to fix it.
4. In order to prevent the interaction between the silicon carbide heater and the superstructure of refractory materials, the pins of each element are insulated with ceramic fiber sleeves, which not only serves as electrical insulation but also serves as a fixed silicon carbide rod.
