A cast copper heating plate is an electric heater that uses an electric heating tube as the heating element. After being bent and formed, it is then placed into a mold and die-casted with a copper outer shell. Its surface area withstands moderate power and is recommended for use below 600°C. It is widely used in small molds, plastic machinery, die heads, pipes, boxes, barrels, cable machinery, two-component machines, and in various applications, including chemical, rubber, petroleum, and food processing.
When using a cast copper heating plate, ensure that the operating voltage does not exceed 10% of its rated value, the relative humidity is no more than 95%, and the environment is free of explosive and corrosive gases. The wiring should be placed outside the heating and insulation layers, the outer shell should be effectively grounded, and the lead wires should be able to withstand the temperature and heating load of the wiring.
In addition, the cast copper heating plate should be stored in a dry place. If the insulation resistance drops below 1MΩ due to long-term storage, it can be restored to normal by drying in an oven at approximately 200°C for 5-6 hours. The cast copper heating plate should be properly positioned and fixed, with the effective heating area in close contact with the heated object. Dry heating is strictly prohibited. Keep the surface clean and remove dust or contaminants promptly to prevent heat dissipation and shortening its service life.
Safety of cast copper heating plates is also crucial during use. Do not use electric heaters to dry flammable or explosive items. Wires must be plugged in; do not plug the ends directly into an outlet. Electric heaters must be supervised when in use and unplugged when not in use. Electric heaters without fuses must not be used, and aging or damaged wires should be replaced promptly.
