The initial mold closing pressure can be set to 25. If the pressure is too low, resulting in a slow speed, it can be increased gradually by 5 steps. However, care should be taken to avoid excessive pressure, which may cause wear on the movable platen and tie rods.
The mold closing speed should be adjusted according to actual conditions to ensure smooth operation and avoid excessive speeds that may cause impact or stalling.
Low-Pressure Clamping:
During the low-pressure clamping phase, the speed should be slow and steady to avoid impact damage.
The starting position is typically set between 5 and 20 cm before the mold is fully closed. The specific value needs to be fine-tuned based on actual conditions. High-pressure clamping:
After the mold is fully closed, use a high-pressure pusher to straighten the mold and clamp it tightly.
The initial high-pressure clamping pressure can be set to 60 as a reference. If it is insufficient, gradually increase it by 10 units.
The initial high-pressure clamping speed can be set to 25. If adjustment is necessary, try adjusting the pressure first. If the effect is not satisfactory, consider increasing the speed.
III. Injection Parameter Adjustment
Injection pressure (P1): Adjust to 60% of the maximum value to ensure stability during the injection molding process.
Holding pressure (PH): Adjust to 30% of the maximum value to ensure the integrity and dimensional accuracy of the molded part.
Injection speed (V1): Adjust to 40% of the maximum value to optimize the injection molding effect. Multiple speed settings can also be used to address different cosmetic issues.
Screw speed (VS): Adjust to approximately 60 RPM to ensure uniform melting of the plastic.
Back pressure (PB): Control at approximately 10 kg/cm² to maintain stable injection pressure. 4. Other Parameter Adjustments

Press-Holding Switching Position: Set to 30% of the screw diameter. For example, for a 100mm diameter screw, the setting should be 30mm.
Metering Stroke: Set slightly shorter than the calculated value to ensure accurate plastic metering during the injection process. You can also optimize the injection process by adjusting the metering endpoint S0 until you find the optimal metering endpoint position.
Total Injection Time and Cooling Time: The total injection time should be slightly shorter, while the cooling time should be slightly longer to ensure sufficient cooling and finalization of the plastic product. The specific cooling time setting can be calculated based on the maximum wall thickness of the molded part and the mold temperature.
5. Manual and Semi-Automatic Operation Parameter Adjustments
Manual Operation:
Close the mold.
Advance the injection molding seat.
Retract the screw to feed the material.
Open the mold and remove the molded part.
Repeat the above steps to ensure the molded part is free of short shots, burrs, or whitening. Semi-automatic Operation:
Gradually adjust parameters such as metering stroke, injection speed, holding pressure, dwell time, or injection time to find the optimal parameter combination.
Gradually adjust the cooling time to ensure that the molded product does not whiten, crack, or deform.
VI. Advanced Machine Tuning Techniques
Increase the Injection Time Second by Second: By increasing the injection time second by second and observing the filling process every second, you can indirectly observe the melt filling process.
Positioning Injection: Adjust the speed and pressure of the subsequent stage to zero, so that the previous stage's rapid injection stops immediately upon reaching a specific starting position. This method simplifies the machine tuning process and improves setting accuracy.
Fast-First-Slow-Later Injection: Use rapid injection in the first stage, then switch to slow injection in the second stage when the preset position is reached. This method facilitates exhaust and melt aspiration, effectively solving air entrapment problems.
VII. Precautions:
During the machine tuning process, closely monitor product changes and adjust parameters promptly to ensure product stability. Avoid impatiently applying high-pressure clamping before the mold is fully closed, as this may cause the low-pressure protection to fail.
