Introduction, Principle and Function of PTC Heater

PTC heater, also known as PTC selection heating element, PTC ceramic heating element is composed of aluminum tubes. PTC heaters have the advantages of low thermal resistance and high heat transfer efficiency. It is an automatic constant temperature, energy-saving electric heater. Its prominent feature is its safety performance, which will not cause safety hazards such as burns and fires on the surface of the electric heating tube heater under any application.
It consists of galvanized outer pressure plate, stainless steel corrugated spring plate, galvanized inner pressure plate, single-layer aluminum heat dissipation component, PTC heating plate, two-layer aluminum heat sink, nickel plated copper electrode terminal, and PPS composed of high-temperature plastic electrode sheath. Due to the selection of U-shaped corrugated radiator, this product improves the heat emission rate, combines the advantages of adhesive and foot type, and takes full account of its strong ptc bonding, good thermal conductivity, good heat dissipation, high efficiency, safety and reliability. Various thermoelectric phenomena occur in the heating part during operation. This type of PTC heater has the advantages of low thermal resistance and high heat transfer efficiency. It is an automatic constant temperature, energy-saving electric heater. A prominent feature of PTC is its safety performance, which means that when the fan malfunctions and stops, the surface temperature of the heater is maintained at the Curie temperature (usually at 250, because the heater cannot completely discharge heat, its power will automatically drop sharply by around ℃), so as to avoid the phenomenon of "redness" on the surface of the electric heating tube heater.
Principle of PTC heater:
The PTC thermistor with constant temperature heating has the characteristic of constant temperature heating. Its principle is that the PTC thermistor naturally heats up after being powered on, causing the resistance value to enter the jump zone. The surface temperature of the PTC thermistor with constant temperature heating will maintain a stable value, and the temperature is related to the room temperature of the PTC thermistor and the applied voltage, but not to the ambient temperature. PTC heater uses constant temperature heating, and PTC thermistor is a heating device designed with constant temperature heating characteristics.
In small and medium-sized power heating places, PTC heaters have advantages that traditional heating elements cannot compare, such as constant temperature heating, no open flame, high heat conversion rate, little influence from power supply voltage, and long natural life. Its application in electric heaters is increasingly favored by research and development engineers. Thermostatic heating PTC thermistors can be made into various shapes, structures, and specifications. Common ones include discs, rectangles, strips, rings, honeycomb, and porous structures. PTC combines heating elements and metal structures to form various forms of high-power PTC heaters.
