Preparation and parking information before starting the extruder

Preparation before starting the extruder

1, Plastic used for extrusion molding. The raw materials should meet the required drying requirements and require further drying if necessary. And sieve the raw materials to remove clumps and mechanical impurities.

2, Check whether the water, electricity, and gas systems in the equipment are normal, ensure that the water and gas paths are smooth and leak free, whether the electrical system is normal, and whether the heating system, temperature control, and various instruments are working; Run the auxiliary machine at low speed without load and observe whether the equipment is operating normally; Start the shaping table vacuum pump and observe whether it works normally; Add oil and lubrication to various lubrication parts of the equipment. If any faults are found, they should be promptly resolved.

3, Install the machine head and shaping sleeve. Choose the appropriate machine head specifications based on the variety and size of the product. Install the machine head in the following order.

① Before assembling the machine head, the grease applied during storage should be wiped off, and the surface of the mold cavity should be carefully inspected for scratches, dents, and rust spots. The necessary polishing should be carried out, and then a layer of silicone oil should be applied to the surface of the flow channel.

② Assemble the various plates of the machine head in order, apply high-temperature grease to the threads of the bolts, and then tighten the bolts and flanges.

③ The machine heads should be assembled together and installed as a whole on the extruder.

④ Tighten the connecting flange bolts, tighten the head fastening bolts, install the heating ring and thermocouple, and make sure that the heating ring is tightly attached to the outer surface of the head.

⑤ Install the shaping sleeve and adjust it in place, check if the centerline of the host, shaping sleeve, and tractor are aligned. After adjustment, tighten the fixing bolts. Connect the standardized water pipes and vacuum pipes.

⑥ Place the porous plate between the machine head flanges to ensure that the porous plate is tightly compressed without overflowing.

⑦ Before tightening the fastening bolts connecting the head and extruder flange, the horizontal position of the die should be adjusted. The square head can be adjusted horizontally, while the circular head can be leveled with the bottom surface of the die based on the fixed model rubber base.

⑧ Turn on the heating power and evenly heat up the machine head and shaft. Simultaneously open the inlet valves of the cooling water and exhaust vacuum pump at the bottom of the feeding hopper and gearbox.

Extruder parking information

1, Cleaning of plastics and machine barrels: After removing the machine head, restart the main engine, add parking materials (or crushed materials), clean the plastics and machine barrels, and use low speed (around SR/min) for plastics to reduce wear and tear. After the parking material is crushed into powder and extruded completely, compressed air can be used to repeatedly blow out residual granules and powders from the feeding port and exhaust port until there is no residual material in the barrel. Then, the plastic speed is reduced to zero, the extruder is stopped, and the main power and cold water main valve are turned off.

2, The stable items that the extruder should pay attention to during extrusion include: electrical, thermal, mechanical rotation, and loading and unloading of bulky components. The extrusion locomotive room needs to be equipped with lifting equipment for assembling and disassembling heavy components such as machine heads and plastics to ensure stable production.

3, Open the connecting flange of the machine head and disassemble the machine head. Clean the various components of the porous plate and machine head. To prevent damage to the inner surface of the machine head during cleaning, residual materials inside the machine head should be cleaned with steel plates and steel sheets. Then, the plastic adhered to the machine head should be sanded off and polished, and coated with engine oil or silicone oil for rust prevention.

4, Stop feeding, squeeze out all the plastic inside the extruder, and when the plastic is exposed, turn off the power to the barrel and head, and stop heating.

5, Turn off the power supply of the extruder and auxiliary equipment to stop the plastic and auxiliary equipment from running.

What are the advantages of plastic extrusion using a micro extruder

1, The more consistency there is in the quality control of the produced products.

2, Simple operation, easy maintenance and cleaning.

3, Improve productivity, start and shut down products faster, convert quickly and automate.

4, Optimize energy and conserve water.

5, Flexibility and the ability to handle a wide range of raw materials.

Extrusion processing is a continuous physical and chemical transformation of viscous polymer media and the production of high-quality structured products due to accurate control of process conditions. Installed on the spline shaft in a closed cylinder by two mutually engaging co rotating screws. Due to the design of plastics and barrels, various plastic profiles and process functions can be widely set according to process requirements. Therefore, a plastic extruder has good flexibility in determining transportation, compression, mixing, cooking, shearing, heating, cooling, pumping, molding, etc. The main advantage of a co rotating plastic extruder is its obvious mixing ability

Features of extruded products and added value of processing units. In plastic extrusion processing, raw materials can be solid (powder, granules, powder), liquid, slurry, or gas. Extruded plastic compounds, chemically modified polymers, textured food and feed products, cellulose, etc.
