Proper use of cattle neck yokes in cattle farms

A cow neck yoke is a tool used to restrain and control the head movement of cattle. Its use helps farmers in cattle breeding and management, preventing cattle from harming people and facilities, while ensuring the safety and welfare of the cattle.

The method of using a cow neck yoke is as follows:

Place the yoke over the cow's head, allowing its head to pass through the circular hole, and then secure it around the cow's neck.

Ensure the yoke is adjusted to a suitable size for the cow, ensuring it does not restrict breathing or blood circulation.

Once the yoke is secured, use ropes or other tools to tether the cow to the desired position. This restricts the range of head movement, reducing the cow's ability to escape or attack.

When the yoke is no longer needed, it should be removed immediately to prevent discomfort and injury to the cow from prolonged locking.

It is important to note that the use of a cow neck yoke should adhere to animal welfare laws and relevant standards, ensuring the cow is in a comfortable and safe condition and using the tool appropriately. Regularly check the yoke for wear or loosening, replacing or adjusting it as needed to ensure its effectiveness and stability.
