Safety Instructions for Using Far-Infrared Ceramic Radiators

Improper use of infrared emitters or exposure to unfavorable operating conditions can cause fire and shock accidents, resulting in personal injury or damage to equipment. Therefore, equipment manufacturers and users must verify that the emitter complies with relevant installation and operating procedures. Safety considerations must always be maintained when selecting, installing, and using the emitter. Our technical support staff is happy to provide assistance.

Installation, electrical connections, and operation require qualified personnel, and the relevant standards in the area of ​​use should also be considered, such as IEC, EN, VDE, UL, and NEC.

When using the product (emitter and accessories), please note the following points.

Installation and Assembly of Infrared Emitters

1) Before installation, read and understand the installation instructions.

2) When replacing the emitter and accessories, disconnect the power cord before proceeding.

3) The radiator must be kept at a safe distance from the heated material to prevent fire and burns.

4) Radiators with standard threaded connectors can only be installed in ceramic or ceramic-lined metal sockets.

Operating Infrared Radiators

5) The radiator must be operated out of reach of operators or users. If necessary, attach warning labels.

6) Radiators must not be operated above the maximum allowable temperature indicated on the radiator, as this will cause burns.

7) It is recommended to use a temperature controller (thermostat) to prevent temperatures from exceeding the allowable range. Radiators with a power of 600W or more should be operated under temperature control. Radiators with temperature sensors must be temperature controlled when in use.

8) Power control is acceptable. However, for safety reasons, it is best to select a radiator with a built-in thermocouple for temperature control.

9) Be aware of solvents (paints, glues, etc.) contained in the heated material. When heated, the material releases solvent vapors, which can generate flammable gases (gas mixtures) and pose an explosion hazard in high-density dust atmospheres. Appropriate regulations, such as explosion-proof regulations (Section 501 of the National Electrical Code (NEC)), must be observed.

10) Even after the radiator power is disconnected, residual heat remains. Contact with the radiator can cause burns, and contact with heat-sensitive materials or objects can be damaged.

Ceramic Radiator Maintenance

11) Radiators must be protected from impact, shock, and moisture.

12) If the radiator comes into contact with water, such as when cleaning the equipment, dry it briefly by heating.

13) Damaged radiators must be replaced promptly.

Key Points for Equipment and System Installation

14) The electrical and mechanical components of the radiator system must be designed to withstand thermal, electrical, and mechanical stresses.

15) Before performing any repairs due to a system failure, the power supply to the radiator must be disconnected (especially when using the radiator to heat heat-sensitive or flammable materials or medical devices).

16) When installing and operating radiators, users must comply with relevant standards and regulations, especially for heating equipment and systems used for humans and animals (e.g., medical, therapeutic, or health equipment). Manufacturers of complete equipment must comply with relevant industry standards.
