Safety operating procedures and emergency measures for heat treatment in box furnaces

1, Safety methods and precautions:

1) Comply with general safety operating procedures for heat treatment workers. Before starting work, carefully check whether the grounding of temperature measuring instruments, thermocouples, and electrical equipment is good. Operators should undergo technical training to understand and be familiar with the structure, performance, and basic processes of various heat treatment equipment.

2) Check if there are any other workpieces in the furnace, whether the furnace bottom plate and resistance wire are intact.

3) When the workpiece enters or exits the furnace during work, the power should be cut off, and attention should be paid to the workpiece or tool not colliding or coming into contact with the resistance wire.

4) The operating temperature of the box type resistance furnace shall not exceed the rated value.

5) Before powering on the electric furnace, the switch should be turned on first, and then the control cabinet button should be turned on. When shutting down the furnace, the control cabinet button should be turned off first before pulling the switch.

6) Regularly clean all parts of the equipment (including the lower part of the furnace bottom plate) for oxides and dirt every month, and promptly repair any problems found.

7) The heat treatment drying oven, insulation furnace, and electric solution furnace shall not exceed the rated temperature, and the rest shall be executed in accordance with this regulation.

8) During operation, attention should be paid to fire prevention, explosion prevention, scalding prevention, and electric shock prevention, as well as mastering relevant rescue knowledge and the use of firefighting equipment. Firefighting equipment in the workplace should be regularly maintained in complete and good condition. During work, it is not allowed to leave the job position at will, and temporary leave should be clearly explained to the supervisor.

9) After completing the work, organize the work site and fill in the handover record.

2, Emergency measures:

1) Cut off the power, report to the leadership and manufacturing department, and protect the site.

2) If there is a fire, it is necessary to guide fire trucks or rescue personnel into the scene of the fire.

3) Take reasonable emergency measures to assist in rescuing the injured.
