Several precautions during the use of thermocouples

Thermocouples have the advantages of high availability and high cost, and are widely used in people's daily production and life, making them familiar to a wide range of users. As loyal users of thermocouples, they should appropriately learn some accurate methods of applying thermocouples.
1. The division mark of the thermocouple must be different from the thermocouple requested by the temperature measurement and control instrument used;
2. The position of the thermocouple device should be separated from the strong electromagnetic field as much as possible, avoiding high-power power lines to prevent additional interference signals from being introduced by the temperature measuring instrument;
3. Reasonably choose the material and outer diameter of the thermocouple casing to ensure sufficient strength and compliance with the tested environment. The outer garment tube should be kept clean in name, as nominal stains will increase thermal resistance and the measured temperature will be lower than the actual temperature;
4. Thermocouples cannot operate at the maximum allowable temperature for a long time, otherwise it will cause changes in the thermocouple material quantity, leading to increased measurement deviation. When measuring high temperatures, to reduce the thermal inertia of thermocouples, bottom or exposed thermocouples can be used;
5. It is necessary to regularly review whether the electrode and outer tube are complete. If the diameter of the invented part becomes thinner or the outer tube is severely corroded, the application should be terminated and a new thermocouple should be replaced. After the thermocouple is damaged, the damaged end can be removed, perhaps by swapping the measuring end with the reference end and welding it again. After verification, it can still be used sustainably.
