Severe cases can result in electric shock injuries and electric heaters
As an important component in the air source heat pump heating system, the buffer heat storage tank is no longer an optional accessory. The Guiding Opinions on Promoting Clean Heating in Rural Areas in Winter in 2017 clearly state that "air source heat pump systems should be equipped with a water storage tank (i.e. a buffer heat storage tank) of no less than 60 liters.". In response to this guidance, the Heat Pump Committee of the China Energy Conservation Association and the Enamel Heat Storage Tank Committee of the China Heat Pump Industry Alliance have organized the drafting of the group standard "T/CECA-G0014-2017" Installation Specification for Buffered Heat Storage Tanks in Air Source Heat Pump Heating Systems ". The introduction of this standard provides a basis for the installation and acceptance of buffer heat storage water tanks in air source heat pump heating systems.
Among the two systems, Figure 1 shows a primary circulation system, and Figure 2 shows a secondary circulation system. These two types of operating systems are commonly used in coal to electricity conversion projects in northern regions. The buffer heat storage water tank used in the two installation examples adopts a vertical structure, and the inner liner of the water tank is made of enamel, which has strong corrosion resistance and pressure resistance.
The buffer heat storage water tank used in a single circulation system has two circulation inlet and outlet ports. In Figure 2, the buffer heat storage water tank used in two circulation systems has four circulation inlet and outlet ports, both of which are DN32 internal threads. Both types of circulation water tanks are equipped with exhaust valves and magnesium rods as standard, with pre reserved discharge ports, temperature sensing probe ports, and water replenishment ports (usually these pipe ports are DN20).
Some buffer heat storage water tanks also have reserved pressure relief valve interfaces and installed temperature and pressure gauges. Installing these configurations and pipe interface accessories on the buffer heat storage tank can greatly improve installation efficiency and reduce the fixing trouble caused by installing accessories on the pipeline.
For the selection of buffer heat storage water tanks, it is recommended to choose enamel water tanks. The buffer heat storage water tank made of enamel inner liner is used in the air source heat pump heating system, which has many advantages such as strong corrosion resistance, strong pressure bearing capacity, excellent insulation performance, buffering system pressure, stable system operation, and automatic exhaust.
Especially in the northern regions, due to differences in water quality, the heavy metal mineral content in the water sources is relatively high, which is what we call hard water and easy to accumulate scale. Generally, the weld area of the buffer heat storage water tank made of stainless steel material is prone to oxidation and corrosion, directly leading to the service life of the water tank being much lower than the operating life of the host system, increasing the probability of replacing the water tank and the frequency of after-sales service. The buffering heat storage tank with enamel inner liner completely overcomes these defects, which is also a key factor for many enterprises in the industry to choose enamel buffering heat storage tanks.
