Sharing of debugging skills for vertical injection molding machines

Before debugging, we need to first check whether the equipment, mold, and material status allow debugging, such as whether the material is dry, whether the mold is clean, whether the function is good, whether the cylinder temperature meets the molding requirements, and whether the cooling system is turned on.
In addition, different products have different debugging rules. For old products, machine debugging involves inputting process parameters before normal operation and starting mass production after quality inspection. If it is a new product, the operating steps are as follows:
1. Set the temperature of the material barrel to the conventional molding temperature. Set the melt and injection stroke based on the product weight.
2. Determine the injection pressure and speed based on the injection molding process. Usually, medium pressure (50-80MPa) and rotational speed (30-60mm/s) are used.
3. Determine the holding time based on the type and size of the gate. Accurate positioning of the door, 6-8 seconds; Side and direct doors, 8-10 seconds.
4. Determine the cooling time based on the arrangement of cooling channels and product thickness, with a preliminary setting of 15-20 seconds.
5. Manually start the injection molding process, increase or decrease the relevant data based on the defects of the injection molding product, until the product quality meets the requirements and allows continuous operation.
6. Switch the machine from manual mode to semi-automatic mode, and adjust the parameters in the production process to achieve the best injection cycle. Injection cycle=mold opening and closing time+injection time+melting time+cooling time, all of which need to be minimized.
Generally speaking, for a 100g injection molding machine, if a 2-plate mold is used, the mold opening/closing time should be maintained at around 2 seconds. If there is a slider, it should be appropriately extended. The injection time should be gradually reduced by 0.5 seconds until defects appear. Then stop adjusting and return to the previous data.
In terms of melting time, try to reduce back pressure as much as possible, accelerate melting speed, and avoid mixing and bubbles.
The adjustment of cooling time is similar to the adjustment of injection time: gradually reduce by 1 second, and then compare the formed product with the standard sample. If the quality of both is the same, it is considered the optimal cooling time.
