Six ways to tell you how to identify the advantages and disadvantages of electric heating tubes

The electric heating tube is a device that converts electrical energy into thermal energy. The outer surface of the heating tube is usually wrapped with a layer of metal to protect the heating tube. The quality of the product will be directly related to the safety of electricity use, so we must pay attention to its quality when choosing. So, how to distinguish its quality?
The most direct way to distinguish the quality of the product is to wipe the surface of the heating tube clean first, then connect the rated power supply, dry burn in the air, and cut off the power supply after the surface of the heating tube turns red. After the heating tube cools down, wipe it with a paper towel to see if there is an oxidation reaction (black powder) on it. If not, it means that this is a good electric heating tube.
In addition to this intuitive method, we also have the following methods to detect its quality.
1. Conduct electrical strength test
Under the electrical strength of the cold state and the electrical strength of the working temperature, high-quality products should be able to withstand 50hz and one minute of withstand voltage. After cutting off the current of 5ma, there is no breakdown or flashover.
2. Conduct overload test
Under the condition of sufficient heat release, power on at 1.27 times the rated power for 1.5 hours, turn off the power to cool and repeat this hype 30 times to see if the heating tube is damaged.
3. Conduct leakage current test
Put the heating tube under the condition of sufficient heating, power on at 1.15 times the voltage. If the leakage current is less than 0.5MA, it is a high-quality electric heating tube.
4. Conduct sealing test
This sealing test is mainly carried out on the outer shell of the electric heater. Put the heating tube in acidified water, and then expose both ends of the electric heating tube to see if the performance requirements meet the requirements of items 1 and 3.
5. Conduct sealing sealer test
The main performance requirements are consistent with the fourth item, but the experimental conditions are different. The conditions of this experiment are to put the electric heating tube in an environment with a temperature of 60 degrees Celsius and a humidity of 95% for one day.
