Specific precautions for installing silicon molybdenum rods

Silicon molybdenum rod and molybdenum disilicide electric heating elements can become very brittle at room temperature, and may rupture if accidentally handled. Therefore, it is necessary to handle them gently. U-shaped silicon molybdenum rod elements are generally installed in a vertical suspension state. Using a dedicated fixing clip to fix and hang it above the electric furnace can effectively avoid mechanical stress transmission to the heating end of the silicon molybdenum rod, and it will not easily crack or damage. The spacing of silicon molybdenum rods in the furnace should not be less than the center distance of the components themselves. When lifting, attention must be paid to the gravity balance of the two cold ends and the wiring part, otherwise it may cause the deviation of the heating element.
In order to avoid damage, generally, components with a diameter of 6/12mm cannot be used for a long time with 170A, while components with a diameter of 9/18mm cannot be used for a long time with 300A. The weight of the entire component is borne by the fixed clamp, and the position of the component is also determined by it. Carefully install to ensure that the components are suspended vertically. To avoid local overheating, the conical part at the lower end of the component must extend into the furnace. The clamp on the outside only serves as a clamping device, and the connecting wires for conductive contact components are made of aluminum braided tape or multi-layer aluminum foil. When installing components, do not tighten the screws on the clamp too tightly. When it reaches high temperature, tighten it again so that it will not easily break. The temperature of the clamp part should not exceed 200C, and the contact voltage between the clamp wire and the component should be reduced by 0.1V. The end of the wire is connected to the busbar. In order to prevent stress from being transmitted to the component, the length of the wire should be slightly greater than the linear distance between the component and the busbar. To avoid radiating heat from being transmitted to the clamp, the distance between the lower end of the clamp and the top of the brick should not be less than 50mm.
