Of course, compared with the water-based quenching medium, the degree of this effect is much smaller.

The pollution sources of quenching oil include: external pollution, such as the oxide scale brought by the workpiece, the water leaked from the cooler, and other substances from the outside; self-pollution, which cannot be automatically discharged during use and remains in the oil Oxidation deterioration products; plus the remaining products after the reaction of foreign pollutants with quenching oil and its pollutants. The accumulation of internal and external pollutants will gradually change the color, transparency, viscosity, flash point, residual carbon and acid value of the oil. This change process is the deterioration process of the quenching oil. Among the effects of deterioration, the changes in the oil cooling characteristics and the deterioration of the brightness of the workpiece after quenching are largely related to the heat treatment effect of the workpiece. Changes in cooling characteristics often change the quenching hardness, quenching depth and deformation of the same workpiece.
