Sweet potato strip belt dryer

I. Overview:
The DW series belt dryer distributes the material to be processed onto a conveyor belt via appropriate auxiliary mechanisms, such as a rotary feeder, oscillating conveyor, crusher, or granulator. The conveyor belt passes through a channel composed of one or more heating units, each equipped with an air heating and circulation system. Each channel has one or more dehumidification systems. As the conveyor belt passes, hot air flows from top to bottom or bottom to top over the material on the belt, thus ensuring uniform drying.
II. Features:
1. Adjustable air volume, heating temperature, material residence time, and heating speed for better drying results;
2. Flexible equipment configuration, compatible with mesh belt washing systems and material cooling systems;
3. Most air is recycled, resulting in significant energy savings;
4. Unique air distribution device ensures more uniform hot air distribution and consistent product quality;
5. Heat sources can be steam, thermal oil, electricity, or coal (oil)-fired hot air furnaces;
III. Applications:
The DW series belt dryer is a continuous drying equipment for batch production, used for drying sheet, strip, and granular materials with good air permeability. It is particularly suitable for dehydrated vegetables, traditional Chinese medicine slices, and other materials with high moisture content where high material temperature is not permitted. This series of dryers features fast drying speed, high evaporation intensity, and good product quality. For dehydrated filter cake-like pastes, granulation or rod-shaped drying is required.
For dehydrated vegetables, belt dryers are generally used in series to form initial drying, intermediate, and final drying sections. In the initial drying section, due to the high moisture content and poor air permeability of the material, a thin layer of material, a faster operating speed, and a higher drying temperature are used. For materials whose temperature cannot exceed 60℃, the drying gas temperature in the initial drying section can be higher than 120℃. In the final drying section, the material residence time is 3-6 times that of the initial drying section, and the material layer thickness is 2-4 times that of the initial drying section. For materials whose temperature does not exceed 60℃, a drying gas temperature of around 80℃ can be used. Using a multi-section combined belt dryer can better utilize the drying performance of the belt dryer, resulting in more uniform drying.
The DW belt dryer is suitable for drying bulk and large-particle materials such as asparagus, garlic, carrots, radishes, mushrooms, leafy greens, bell peppers, pumpkins, potatoes, bamboo shoots, and marine organisms. It is also suitable for drying traditional Chinese medicinal herbs and is particularly suitable for materials that cannot be dried at high temperatures. It allows for timely processing of seasonal vegetables, preventing spoilage and economic losses due to seasonal overstocking. Furthermore, the dryer utilizes a belt-type through-flow heat circulation drying principle, resulting in excellent energy efficiency. The temperature and belt speed can be adjusted according to the moisture content and heat sensitivity of the material being dried, ensuring that the color, aroma, and flavor of the dried material are preserved, maintaining the original quality of the vegetables. Therefore, it offers significant economic and social benefits.
Based on the specific production output and moisture content, two dedicated DW2X12 belt dryers will be used in series to form a drying process with initial drying, intermediate drying, and final drying stages. To achieve a processing capacity of 750 kg of dried sweet potatoes per hour (initial moisture content 65%, final moisture content below 5%), a production line consisting of two DW2X12 belt dryers in series is required, totaling two DW2X12 belt dryers.
