Teflon coatings vary in thickness across different industries
The high-temperature insulation layer of silicone rubber is a thin sheet-like composite of silicone rubber and glass fiber cloth, and the silicone rubber heating plate has good flexibility. The insulation layer of the silicone rubber heating plate is a thin sheet composed of silicone rubber and glass fiber cloth. The silicone rubber heating plate has good flexibility and can be in close contact with the heated object; The heating element is made of nickel alloy foil processed for more uniform heating. Silicone rubber heating plates can be used for mixing and insulation in humid and non explosive gas environments, industrial equipment pipelines, tanks, etc. When in use, they can be directly wrapped around the surface of the heated object. The silicone rubber heating plate used for piping can be made, used, installed, and easily disassembled.
The thickness of Teflon coatings varies in different industries. The following are some commonly used thicknesses for reference only:
1. 5-micron, usually sprayed with PTFE on rubber products.
2. 10 microns, usually sprayed with Teflon on small metal parts that reduce surface friction coefficient.
3. 20 micron, small household appliances such as electric rice cookers, electric YUN buckets, and wear reducing products at home.
4. 30 microns, anti stick for industrial molds
5. 50 microns, slightly corrosion-resistant
6. 80 microns, moderately corrosion-resistant
7. 100 microns to 500 microns, highly corrosion-resistant
8. Above 600 microns, PPB level corrosion protection.
Characteristics of Teflon:
1. Non adhesive: Almost all substances do not adhere to polytetrafluoroethylene coatings. The thin film also exhibits good non adhesion performance.
2. Heat resistance: Polytetrafluoroethylene coating has excellent heat and low temperature resistance characteristics. It can withstand high temperatures up to 300 ℃ for a short period of time and can be used continuously between 240 ℃ and 260 ℃. It has significant thermal stability and can work at freezing temperatures without embrittlement, and does not melt at high temperatures.
3. Sliding performance: Polytetrafluoroethylene coating has a lower coefficient of friction. The friction coefficient changes during load sliding, but the value is only between 0.05 and 0.15.
4. Moisture resistance: The surface of the polytetrafluoroethylene coating is free from water and oil, and it is also not easily contaminated with solution during production operations. If there is a small amount of dirt stuck, it can be easily removed by simply wiping. Short downtime, saving labor and improving work efficiency.
5. Wear resistance: It has excellent wear resistance under high loads. Under certain loads, it has the dual advantages of wear resistance and non adhesion.
6. Corrosion resistance: Polytetrafluoroethylene is almost unaffected by drug corrosion and can withstand all strong acids (including aqua regia), strong oxidants, reducing agents, and various organic solvents except for molten alkali metals, fluorinated media, and sodium hydroxide above 300 ℃. It can protect parts from any type of chemical corrosion.
