The pipeline and tank heating of the coke oven gas to LNG project uses medium temperature self-limiting temperature reinforced electric heating tape

LNG, or liquefied natural gas, is primarily composed of methane. LNG is produced by subzero cooling gas at atmospheric pressure, condensing it into a liquid. Coke oven gas-to-LNG uses coke oven gas, a byproduct of coking plants, as raw material. The methane synthesis process produces SNG, which is then cryogenically liquefied into LNG.

Coke oven gas contains a certain amount of impurities and requires purification to meet process requirements. The production process includes four stages: compression, desulfurization, synthesis, and liquefaction. The water circulation system is frequently used in this process, and ensuring its proper operation is crucial. Due to the relatively low winter temperatures, the pipes require heating to prevent freezing.

To ensure the normal operation of the water circulation system's pipes and tanks at low temperatures, the coke oven gas-to-LNG project uses medium-temperature heating and insulation products. Given the unique characteristics of coke oven gas-to-LNG production, medium-temperature, self-limiting reinforced heating cables were selected.

The medium-temperature self-limiting reinforced electric heating belt has a double-layer insulation structure, maintains a high temperature, has explosion-proof properties, can be cut and wound cross-over and overlapped at will, and has been widely used in heating and insulation of various pipelines and tanks. The product's performance is well received by users.
