In recent years, with the demand for desulfurization projects in large power plant units, the power of air electric heaters has increased, with some reaching over 400KW. Electricity consumption is high and operating costs are high. It is necessary to consider the following aspects to minimize energy consumption.
(1) Reasonably design air volume and temperature rise. The power of an air electric heater is determined based on the calculation of air volume and temperature rise. If the air volume and temperature rise meet the requirements, it is not advisable to use excessive air volume and temperature rise. Excessive air volume and temperature rise can directly lead to excessive power of the heater and increase energy consumption. Excessive air volume and temperature rise are unnecessary. We need to consider comprehensively, design reasonably, and determine appropriate parameters.
(2) The surface of the air electric heater should be insulated. Most power plants (owners) only insulate the pipes at the outlet of the air electric heater when using it, and do not apply any insulation treatment to the surface of the electric heater itself. Comparative data shows that adding insulation layers on the surface of electric heaters can reduce energy consumption by 5% to 10%. Long term operation can save significant energy consumption. Power plants (owners) should install insulation layers on both the pipeline and the air electric heater.
(3) Reduce the pressure loss of the air electric heater itself. When the air that needs to be heated flows through the interior of the air electric heater, there will be pressure loss. The greater the pressure loss, the greater the energy consumption of the fan. Therefore, improvements and innovations should be made to the structure of the air electric heater itself to minimize the pressure loss it generates. Due to the controllable conductivity of the equipment, our remote communication will become more precise and reliable, and we no longer have to worry about the issue of remote communication signals;
