The working principle of gas stove thermocouple

1. Thermoelectric effect
Thermocouples utilize the thermoelectric effect to measure temperature changes. According to the principle of thermoelectric effect, when the temperature at the contact of two different materials changes, a certain voltage difference will be generated.
2. Working principle
The gas stove thermocouple is mainly composed of two metal wires of different materials, one end connected to the gas stove and the other end connected to the temperature controller. After the stove is ignited, the heat generated by flame combustion will cause the temperature at the location of the thermocouple to rise.
When a thermocouple is subjected to high temperature, the two metal wires at the contact point generate a potential difference due to different thermal expansion and contraction. This potential difference will be transmitted to the temperature controller, which can determine the current temperature by measuring the magnitude of the potential difference.
3. Temperature control
Once the temperature controller detects that the temperature has reached the set value, it will cut off the gas supply and stop combustion. When the temperature drops, the controller will turn on the gas supply again to reignite the flame and maintain the set temperature.
4. Security protection
The working principle of gas stove thermocouple makes it have a certain safety protection mechanism. For example, if a thermocouple is damaged or disconnected, the temperature controller will not be able to detect temperature changes and will automatically shut off the gas supply to prevent gas leakage from causing danger.
In addition, thermocouples can also protect the safety of users by monitoring the presence of flames. If the flame is accidentally extinguished, the thermocouple will sense a decrease in temperature, and the controller will automatically stop the gas supply to prevent gas leakage and fire.
Gas stove thermocouple is a commonly used temperature measurement and control device, which uses the thermoelectric effect to detect temperature changes and control gas supply, ensuring the normal operation of the stove and the safety of the user.
